About

Cindy has lived with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) since the age of eight.  She did not, however, let her world of pain, surgeries, medical appointments and wheelchair use stop her from living her life to the fullest and seeing her dream of being a published author come true.  She chooses to focus on what she CAN do and God's plan for her.  Along with her love of writing, her passions include rescuing animals ,creating farmhouse decor,  the nursing home ministry she and her father had for over 22 years, service to her community (she is a Past President of the Prattville Lions Club) and advocating as an Arthritis Ambassador for all those living with arthritis.  In 2007 she was the recipient of the first Arthritis Foundation Heart of Mission Award.

Cindy loves to share her story, inspiring people of all ages to live their dream, to be strong and to not let anyone tell you that you can not achieve your goal.  She shares that people sometimes ridicule what they do not understand and in those moments of being on the receiving end of that ridicule she chooses education and kindness.

Cindy welcomes inquiries concerning speaking at events, meetings, conferences, and groups.  She also enjoys reading to children and welcomes reading invitations.

Cindy and her husband Andy reside in Prattville, AL with their canine kids, Sammy and Sally.

Love of Reading Begins At An Early Age

As you can see, my love of reading began at an early age.  Thanks to my Grandmother for capturing this photo of me reading to my younger brother Rusty.

While in the third grade I penned my first poem.   Even though I still have that small piece of paper, I reserve the right not to publish it because I can truly say my writings have come a long way from that short poem that helped start my journey.

God Has A Plan For Each Of Us

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
